Day 6
I always feel better in the morning, but am much brighter today. To the point of I'm going to post some new pics. The bruising is a bit more yellow and has descended onto my throat a little but it's not so bad. I think the swelling is going down a little. I don't feel quite as sick today, but will see if I manage to keep some more down. Fingers crossed!
Have included the last one, with the flash, as I think the bruising is a bit more visible - but not too bad at all!

You have a nice smile, even before you had the surgery. I think you're the only one I saw smiling right after surgery.
Keep it up, you look great.
Your cheeks are radioactive! By the way, I talked to my surgeon about getting those bruises and she told me that it was a rare for patients to have them. I'm not sure why she said that...virtually all of the bloggers here have had them.
Thanks Reuel, that's very nice of you - as an underbiter I always smiled - just cos I looked so darn miserable if I didn't!
Funkyrhodes, that's probably because they don't see you at the height of the bruising! It's not so bad really though, find it quite amusing and it's the source of many jokes with my friends :)
You look so different! And more like 12 years old now :)
xxx, m
Love the pics. My family had a big Easter gathering too, but I didn't go because I was feeling sick. I don't think it would have mattered because I have not been hungry at all. Glad you are doing well!!!!! Blessings to you!!!!!!
You look so great! What a fantastic bite! :)
And weird... yeah, it seems pretty much all the blogs I've read they've had lots of bruising.
You are looking fantastic - well done. I'm an underbiter too. About to start the long journey. Your sunny approach has given me hope that I too can get through this. Thanks. I will continue to follow your posts with interest.
Hope your bright morning carried over into a sunny day :)
How amazed are you every time you look in the mirror and there's no underbite to greet you? Double-A awesome , right there!
The bruises are a right of passage~ I'd be ripped to miss out on that colourful step!
Hiya V, just caught up on your last few posts, excellent reporting btw! As for the photos, what a huge difference already, you must be thrilled.
How does it feel with your bottom teeth in their new position? Can you feel them coming together differently? As an underbiter this is the bit i'm most looking forward to!
The bite is the most incredible part of all, Discantus. Words cannot even begin to express. You are in for a real treat! :)
Kate, it finally feels like it's my true reflection is staring back at me. THAT good!
